I took my 1984 Penn Yan Sport Fisherman’s helm that was originally covered in what I think was a vinyl call “camera case“ and gave it an upgraded look to a wood grain product. It did take about two days to complete…and I can tell you this job is not for the faint of heart. Lots of tedious cutting and reassembly of the electrical connections. PM me if you need more details.
