There ya go Rick opening yourself up to a slap down once again.

While I agree that a cute little blonde is desirable it won't add enough stern weight to remedy the OP's bow down condition.

Now this one on the other hand...

Sorry guys, been gone today. Put boat on the lake to try a few things. Made it about a mile down the lake and ( I'm guessing on this ) but it appears the engine coupler gave way. The motor reved up and prop is barely turning. Also had a very distinct smell of burnt rubber. So I guess I wouldn't be trying anything until I R&R a drive coupler. Don't have the time to do it right now. Thanks for the advice though. I like the blonde one, but pretty sure the wife wouldn't. I'll holler back at Yall when I get it moving again....

Smelling burning rubber almost guarantees the coupler went... When I lost one I reached behind the engine and got black slime all over my hand....

Btw a 4 blade prop would most likely be going the wrong way too.... IIRC you'd want a prop with a lot of rake like a turning point hustler.

1580rick I have the exact same problem, just bought a 2000 Party deck with 4.3L took it out by myself 15 gal of fuel 1 battery, No trolling motor or anything in the front, 19P prop, no hydrofoil. Seems to lift the front and run good to about 3500RPM after that pushes the nose down and gains very little speed?

Ok, going back 5 years I pulled the motor to replace the coupler and discovered the engine block was cracked. Man did I buy a piece of junk. I didn't have time to mess with it then so I bought another boat and parked this one out back. Back to 2020.... I need to do something with it' fix it or scrape it. Decided to fix it. Bought a used 4.3 for it. While I have it apart I decided to go all the way and pulled the deck. I can see water stains where it appears it was holding water in the hull. With all the foam in it I can't tell how it got there ( don't see any damage on the outside of the hull ) or how it is supposed to get out. Question...If I pull the foam out of it, will I have to replace it or can I leave it out. Thanks.

The foam is the floatation that keeps the boat from sinking if it starts to get water. So yeah, should have foam in it.

Is there a certain type of foam I need to use to keep it from soaking up and holding water? Does the foam have any function structure wise.

Got everything stripped out of the center of the boat down to the hull. There is a covered drain down the length of the boat that was clogged up with pieces of foam. Liked to never got it clean out. There was still water in some of the foam from 5 years ago. Water appears to have been coming from the aireator pump line. Hope cleaning out the drain path and repairing the livewell will cure it's problem. Going to take me awhile to get it all back together. Thanks.

2# 2-part foam for flotation. 4# for structural

If you use a two-part urethane foam, it will do what you want. It's a closed cell foam - same as what was in your boat originally, most likely. It doesn't soak up water unless it have been neglected; then water gets in, freezes, breaks down the foam structure and allows water into foam. As this happens repeatedly, more and more foam is compromised until it is basically a sponge. The solution is to not let the boat get wet and stay wet...

Two pound (2#) foam seems most common in boats that have a regular stringer and bulkead construction. It adds some rigidity and lots of sound absorption. Four pound (4#) foam seems to be used more in boats where foam is sandwiched between the hull and deck, with the foam serving as a structural element.

Finally got everything put back together and took it to the lake today. Still has the same problem. It pulls the nose of the boat up when you take off, but as soon as you get up to any speed, the nose comes down and it starts plowing. If I try to trim it up, the prop just starts to free spin.

The prop sucking air? Called cavitation. Sounds like there are other issue. Have you searched your boat model and determined what it is supposed to weigh? Worth double checking just to make sure you are in the ball park after your repairs.

There are different things that can change the way a boat comes up out of the water. And different issues that can cause it to behave badly. You might take a straight edge to the back 6 foot of the bottom and see if it has a hump in it. Other issues can be incorrect prop, weight in the wrong places. Some of that you may be able to change with different prop or trim tabs. Kind of need more input before knowing if I know enough to make any suggestion to a fix.

Finally got it back to the lake a couple weeks ago. Started switching props. 15p 3 blade, 17p 3 and 4 blade, 19p 3 blade, and a 21p 3 blade. The 19p turning point hustler 3 blade by far did the best. At least it will run across the water with it. I wish it held the nose up just a little higher, but at least it's not plowing now. Doesn't seam to make a difference how much weight is in it or where the weight is at, it still runs the same. Haven't pulled anything with it yet. I'm over tacking about 200 rpms at wide open ( 5000 with a 4.3) so I'm still not perfect yet. But at least I can run it now. May just leave it like it is. Thanks everybody for the help! Well, I came here 9 years after the original post because I have the same EXACT problem. Did you ever find an answer to the problem? I have a 2005 party deck with 4.3 i/o and it currently is running a 21p mercury vengance stainless steel prop.
