The difference is the definition of "plowing" you are talking about the stern being low and the op is talking about the bow being low....

These are two very different situations... The tabs are great for lifting the stern but lifting the stern lowers the bow.

I can see where a boat that is keeping the bow down too low to plane out would not be helped with tabs. Bow rise is LESS with tabs - which is usually faster for boats that plow nose high and then come bow down to plane out. I can accept that it may not help here.

Smart tabs at least are easy to install, hour or so. Here's a Smart tab video on how they work. if you are really nose down they probably won't help.

The hull is straight, no dents, dings, or patches. I was told they used the boat very little. And it looks it. maybe they didn't use it because of this problem. Boat has a livewell and storage area in front both empty. Only thing in boat was three people (all toward back ). Fuel tank has 40 gl. in it, but it is toward back( right in front of motor, under deck ). Only had about 15 gl. in it the first time. Supposed to have three batt, but only one onboard now. In back. Has a whale tail on it now with the 19p prop, but didn't have one when I first tried it with 21P prop. Boat is designed for up to 10 people or 1400lbs. Had 10 200lbers in my 2002 this spring and it still pull the front up with 40 hp. less. Signed: I'd pull my hair out if I had any! Thanks Everybody!

Just sitting on a trailer can cause the hull to hook.

Did you actually get out a straight edge and physically check the hull? You can not do this by just eye balling it.

How long was your straight edge? You need to get a long piece of metal. 6 feet at least.

No. It was a 36" level. I'll try to find something longer in the morning and try again. Thanks

Nada gives the boat weight as 3301lbs. I'll have to add for the difference of a 3.0 to a 4.3. I'm guessing about 200 lbs. Anybody know the weight of a dual axle trailstar 21 ft trailer with brakes on both axles and no spare tire or guides? I am finding everything from 800# to 1640#

I think that is a welded channel iron frame on the Trailstar. Most likely somewhere above 1300.

Looking for a pic of the Party Deck, I'm seeing they're a solid glass hull. Even in the pic below lightly loaded it seems the spray coming off is very close to the bow meaning a lot of this boat is in the water when on a plane.

Get rid of the fin thing off the OD, it can only make the bow down condition worse.

Have your passengers sit backwards on that wide swim step next to the transom door. That'll fix it

Thanks Rick Stephens. I'm thinking that's probably close enough. I'd came up with about 1250#. That helps me feel better about my est. Waterman the hull on these are all alum. Pic shows water displacement about normal for one of these boats. This one is pushing a lot more water than that in front of it. It gets ya wet don't make much difference where you set. QC Rear facing riders might get their toenails trimmed on the corners. Unless the shore patrol sees us first.... LOL!!

Yep. I'm thinking the whales tail is coming back off. But it had the problem before I put it on......still think putting it on was going the wrong direction.....

Would be nice if you had someone shoot a video from the side from another boat.

Just an idea, but, maybe the addition of the hydrofoil negated any help from the prop change?? I think I'd remove the hydrofoil & see how the 19 prop compares to the old one. My buddy has the same boat w/ 3.0 & it rides heavy in the front compared to other hull styles, obviously, but it isn't as bad as you're talking about. The next step I'd take is to definitely get it weighed. Just because it looks good does not mean it's not water logged & carrying several hundred more pounds of weight than its supposed to.

Here's a video I found of a Party Deck under way, to see how it handles...not that 1580rick's handles the same way...

Anyone try those "Spray Rail deflectors" that get mounted to the hull?

Looking at Watermann's pic...... ya think maybe a cute blond in the back would help?

I do

There ya go Rick opening yourself up to a slap down once again.

While I agree that a cute little blonde is desirable it won't add enough stern weight to remedy the OP's bow down condition.

Now this one on the other hand...
