Painting Boston Whaler

I have an old 1963 Boston Whaler. I would like to paint it and fix it up a bit. Is there any trick to painting it or can I just buy some paint and slap it on? Thanx for any help.

before you paint, try restoring the fglass shine. BW boats have a great gelcoat that may buff out for you.

Once you paint it,,,,,,,you become a slave to the paint.

Gelcoat is the way,,,,save it
