long story short: had engine pulled recently,

photo59.jpg

gas tank fuel line leaked gas overnight into the cavity below deck outside of a non-draining stringer..... about a quart and a half I reckon....

photo57.jpg

I have sopped up the standing gas and have a fan circulating air beyond where I can reach underneath deck...

photo58.jpg

what else can I do to alleviate danger, damage, smell ?

Soak up all of the gas ,pour in some dawn or any dish soap and wash and rinse, suck out water with a shop vac

great! thanks. that's exactly how I cleaned the bilge in that first pic :)

sadly, I learned of the gas puddle because the gas was soaking into some transom delam in the glasswork....and was coming out of a unsaturated portion of roven near the drain plug. I don't want to think about why that happened or what to do about it... and how far that gas moved underneath fiberglass...lol. 30 year old boat; 40 year old man... I know who beats who. heheh.
