Outdrive lube reservoir leaking

I have a 93 Merc 5.0 with an Alpha 1 outdrive and the reservoir bottle on the top of the engine appears to have developed a leak at the fitting where the wires attach. Any suggestions other than replacement??

Is there an O-ring or other type of seal at the spot where it's leaking? If that's the culprit, just find a suitable seal or O-ring.
Otherwise, start saving your nickels. Those reservoirs are pretty spendy for what they are! Save the cap.

Spendy is right! There are aftermarket kits for about $50. for the whole kit
