I've recently posted about where to find parts for my 1957 35hp evinrude and I'd like to say thank you to those that did help me find the parts. I want to get my outboard back up to as close to original as it can be considering its age. While searching the internet I found this website that lists the original colors for alot of the outboards we've all been working on and trying to restore so I thought I'd post it for all of you wanting to have your original color schemes.

I havent ordered any paint yet so I cant tell you the quality but at least now I know what the colors originally were.

Re: Outboard Colors

jason,

I have recently been rebuilding a 1956 FD-10 15 HP Johnson and I too got my paint and decals from Peter at North York Marine. I can testify both to the quality of the paint and decals and smooth transactions with Peter. Don't hesitate to go with nymarine.

X2

(except I have different motors, a 1950 Johnson 5, a 1958 Johnson 7?, and a 1971 Evinrude Yachtwin 4. I have gotten paint for all plus for early and later fuel tanks.)
