Bourbon (the dog) is fascinated by the loons. Weird story....Just put a new stereo in the boat and added a 10" sub. We were sitting in the corner of the lake where there are no houses and we were protected from the wind. We may have been jamming a little, but not TOO loud. Anyway, the 2 loons came to the boat from 200-250 feet away. Got within 20 feet. I think the loons like The Black Keys. :)

Down around Biloxi
Pretty girls are dancin' in the sea
They all look like sisters in the ocean
The boy will fill his pail with salty water
And the storms will blow from off towards New Orleans
Sun shines on Biloxi
Air is filled with vapors from the sea
Boy will dig a pool beside the ocean
He sees creatures from his dream underwater
And the sun will set from off towards New Orleans
Stars can see Biloxi
Stars can find their faces in the sea
We are walking down beside the ocean
We are splashing naked in the water
And the sky is red from off towards New Orleans
And the sky is red from off towards New Orleans
Down around Biloxi
Pretty girls are swimming in the sea
They all look like sisters in the ocean
The boy will fill his pail with salty water
And the storms will blow from off toward New Orleans

It is a very peaceful place to fish. The bite was slow but did manage one nice LM along with a couple little guys.

What kind of battery do you use?
) I use two Duracell group 27 deep cycles for the 24 volt 80 Pound bow terrova. Have one old AGM federal for the 50 pound minn Kota on the transom. The Duracells are holding up well. I charge them immediately when I get home

I’m going to go lithium in my crestliner when the interstate deep cycles in that die. I really need to save the weight. Three lead acid batteries add up some weight. The electric only boat is not worth the investment of lithium. 1970 sears 12 foot Jon that had a tree fall on it then recently a barn fell on it. Still doesn’t leak a drop.

friends from Japan came to visit. They live in Tokyo. Took them out for a day. They have never been on a 'personal' boat, just ferries and such.

brought some charcoal and made some grilled salmon belly and cheese burgers. Odd combo but they don't each cheeseburgers and salmon is too expensive to eat much or often. I also made a few veggie rice rolls and brought all the accoutrements.
