What other toys do you own?

My boats will not be getting wet again this year, so it's time to play with my other two toys. A Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV and in a couple months I'll break out the Ski-Doo MXZ 600. I am actually thinking of trading the MXZ in for the new Arctic Cat F7.

Just a Jeep Wrangler and it'll be time to put the top on it for the season here soon unfortunately as well as the boat. Going to try to get a few more pleasure trips in before the weather starts turning too cold.

I'd love to try out the snowmobiles, but we don't get enough snow down here in Kentucky for anything like that.

Re: Other than the boat(s)...

We boat 12 months a year here. We'll make two (1) week trips to the slopes. Duck hunting takes priority for awhile and Tyler plays baseball Erin plays softball all year long. I coached Tyler for 8 years and am wiggling my way into girls softball coaching right now. Its kinda sad nothing really changes in Ca. You can surf and snowboard in the same day Growing up in Ohio I know the changes, but the kids haven't a clue. We have a few dirt bikes is all

We have a 28 foot travel trailer that we use year round, and, of course, the boat. We will be on the water anytime the weather lets us, cold or hot, so we have quite a bit more boating in our plans this year. When the weather don't let us do it, Shreveport and the casinos are just 3 hours away.

Mmmmmm......Gambling.

Guitars on the walls and on stands around the house. There's always one close by whenever I get the urge.

As the result of a nasty divorce about five years ago my toys are few.

I have a nice collection of pool cues. I like to play, but usually much more often in the colder months as the boating slows down over the winter.

We still manage to get out once per month in the winter, though.

I also have a sweet home theater set up and lots of dvd's.

A pair of ATV's (Suzuki Z400 and Honda Recon 250) and a Honda Shadow Aero 1100, all of which are up for sale for a new boat purchase over the winter. We (wife and I) bought the quads last year, but it's nothing but a hassle here in NJ anywhere you go to ride, with the cops. Had to appear in court once, and have been greeted by a waiting patrol car at my truck/trailer more than a few times, so we said let's just get rid of them and use the cash for a nice new boat. We ride in sand pits, far from civilization, but unfortunately a lot of the people that ride off road (around here anyway) are pot-smoking, beer drinking minors (or at least under the drinking age) and there have been large fires left unattended, garbage left everywhere, etc, so the police are really craking down. Damn shame.

Oh well, nothing beats a good day on the water anyway, right!

Boating season starts here in May as long as the
ice is off and lasts till mid October as long as
we dont go into an early deep freeze. Hunting
season for rifles gets going in September and
runs to end of November. Then its time to get out
the ice fishn shack and let a line out till early
March when most lakes close for the spring spawn.
Then Fly fish the rivers till ice out and the
lakes open in late April early May. Then start
from the top again.

We are in the same boat Nosleep. I bring out the ATV for hunting season, and the Ski-Doo for ice fishing.

Re: Other than the boat(s)...

All our toys are water related now since we are on the water year-round.

We used to have a Jeep and played in the dunes and took long trips down the beach. Once all the way down to Corpus Christi. And, and we had a Harley Davidson, 1975 Super Glide to be exact. We miss the bike.

During the 'winter' month, we usually do home repairs and improvements and landscaping. We're quite the DIY'ers. So I guess our power tools would be our toys.

I sure look forward to hunting season GG.
Didnt get much for draws this year so no Mule
deer. Only white tail and elk and that season
dont open till Nov 1. So I will have to stretch
out the boating season till late October if the
weather permits.

LF , I miss having a bike and have seriously
considered getting a H/D. But what holds me back
is not being able to get my boat to the water
with it. Just doesn't seem to be enough time to
fit everything in that I would like to do.

Only whitetail and elk? We do not have elk here, so that would an awesome draw for me. ;) I am two days into hunting season now, and loving it

I sold my bike after my brother died in a bike accident. Swore I'd never ride again. I rode a friends Fat Boy a couple weeks ago, and I am chomping at the bit to ride again. Didn't realize how much I'd missed it until I felt the wind in my hair. The hard part is convincing the boss that I NEED a bike

Re: Other than the boat(s)...

A reloading setup, numerous firearms, a brand new John Deere lawn tractor, a sound system anchored by a Carver receiver, my wife's Mustang which I rarely get to drive. And I consider this very computer to be a pretty cool toy. Oh, and a well-stocked tool box stack, and a Siamese cat who's a real hoot!

I am materially blessed, no doubt. But I think I need a Piper Super Cub!

;)
