I understand elected by the legislature . . . This guy has been considered a conservative BTW. Read up on him, this is atypical

Re: O'Reilly Factor

Now I have my credibility back, may I just say that in my opinion we (as a society) fail miserably when it comes to dealing with this type of crime. In fact it may very well be our (collectively) greatest failure. If it sounds like I'm exagerating, well I'm not. It's my carefully considered opinion that sexually predatorial behavior is the absolute strongest kind of addiction, and we (humankind) do not possess the capability to cure it, or even keep it in check. Apart from physical restraint, captivity and capital punishment. That's my opinion, I know it won't get a lot of opposition here. Take it to it's logical conclusion...yep that's what I'm saying. I believe that some of these perpetrators are evil through and through, and others are just as horrified by the evil they do as you and me but can't not do it because of the way their brains are hardcoded. Justice does not exist for these crimes; protection of the innocent is paramount.

That's just my own 2¢.

My universal solution: strap em on a nuke headed towards Iran.

What jtex said!

I will say that there are degrees and those degrees are often dependent on the age and sex of the victim. I submit that the recently publicised cases of attractive, mid-30s, women "preying" on adolescent boys is not the same thing as the opposite. In fact, I'll bet that most of these boys thought it was just dandy until it went public. Hmmmmmmm, I smell a thread here . . .

Re: O'Reilly Factor

O'Reilly is late to the party on this one, 12 footer.

It has been featured on most of the MSNBC programs, including The Abram's report, Rita Cosby, Scarborough, along with regular news reports and newspapers. O'Reilly is just jumping on the already loaded bandwagon

It is clearly a travesty of justice, and out of curiosity I'd be interested in what thinking, if any, went thru this judge's head. There has to be some reason for this otherwise inexplicable decision.
