I came across a 1968 starcraft unsure of model. The only downside is its fibergl@$$. It has a 75hp Johnson super sea horse that runs. He is asking 400 obo. Is it worth it considering all the extra work that comes with fibergl@$$ boats?

Nope! LOL glass boats of that age are going to have a lot of problems you cant see and super costly to repair. 1968 is old and I would expect some issues with the motor. The price is excessive with the age and the trailer, at the connection joints looks well worn. I would pass. but thats just me. I have had a lot of boats and learned the hard way about what not to buy. Did you go look at the submerged boat??

I was kind of thinking that to. Glassin is alot of work but thought i would ask the pros. :D Havn't got a chance to go look at the submerged boat yet. Possibly this weekend. He would have to come down quite a bit on price for me to bring it home.

I agree on the swamp rat. It is going to be a sight to behold. That kind of money a bit East of Nebraska could save a lot of $ and come up with a useable boat. The bad thing there is needing you own oil well to drive very far. I might be wise also to see what pops up on boat prices with the fuel costs, and wait it out for a bit longer..

I agree, plus the submerged boat it 2 1/2 hours away. I already have the 72 chieftain that i can drop in the water and go plus my crestliner. Really just looking for a project that actually fits in the garage. I think i'll probably hold out for a Holiday, SS or maybe a Jupiter. Dont see to many of them around here and when you do they go for a premium.

Ignore the glasser in this ad...he's also selling a 16' tin Starcraft:) (talk him down on the price)

This one could be aluminum...maybe not.

This one used to be a SuperSport, still has potential:D

This SC will save fuel costs;) I'd love to find a lapstraked canoe like that one for myself:D

OK, so i found a 76 14' Kingfisher with 35hp johnson. The motor runs and the hull is in pretty good shape. The floor is a little soft but thats no biggy. I didnt get any pics when i went and looked but he is asking $600 and it comes with a foot controlled trolling motor. Is this a decent price? I figure the 35 johnson is worth it.
