JB said it. i hate to hear that turtle story though, it must have been an old one that had a rock hard shell. if peta were on the ball, they would've had it at home in their pond... instead of on a well travelled lake. lol

Sorry to hear about your mis fortune. Hope you are alright. Had a buddy hit a small tree doing 60 and he came out of the boat. Lucky he had his safety switch attached. Agin sorry about the weigh in the main thing is that you are still with us.

Milo...if that was a 30 pounder, that was a big turtle. Like what has been posted, hit just about anything fast enough and there's going to be damage.<br /><br />Most important....did ya retrieve tha darn thing? I ain't had some good turtle soup for a long time.

you guys make me roar all these funny posts especially the ones about turtle soup hey ever had that its awful like old socks. Anyway the new lower unit arrived and its getting swapped out tomm. I gotta tell you It sure is scary hittin something at that speed. I thought I threw a rod or something because where i was in the lake there are no hazards. i though tI d share my stupid human trick with you. When i hit it i was about oh 100 feeet away when I stopped. I looked around and really saw not much except the shell starting to sink and quite a bit of blood. I didnt know turtles have that much blood gee

Dak. doing well over 100 in a T-Bird Super Coupe when I surpised a pair of crows dining on road pizza. <br /><br />One of em' didn't make it. It took OFF my drivers door mirror and broke the window. I had to talk like a senator to explain that one to my boss.<br /><br />Usually crows are pretty wary, I guess the last thing they saw go by was a little slower, was four wheel drive and green. (John Deere).
