omc lower unit housing

I have a 1985 Chris Craft OMC 305 5.0 stern drive and I am wondering if a 1979 colbalt 350 lower unit would fit. My lower unit housing has a external and internal crack I stored it in the up position.

If they are both mechanical shift, they should be 15:23 ratio lowers, so it should work.
