Hey guys, I'm new to the tread a need some help, I have a 91 Four Winns with an OMC 5.7 King cobra,cone clutch outdrive, a couple weeks ago it left me sitting on the lake and had to be towed in, after taking it to the repair shop they told me my lower unit is cracked and my upper is locked up,so I need an complete outdrive and they said I wouldn't be able to find one.I've been scouting Ebay and have become more then confused.First of all many people look to be selling outdrives labeled "King" cobras only later to find them to be "Cobras".The book says mine is a Model# 986704, upper ratio 21:29, lower ratio 17:20. Will a dog clutch style work? will one off a big block work with a different ratios? can it be converted? I can't seem to find mine anywhere,any help would be greatly appreciated.
