Re: OMC, Evinrude, and Johnson Boats
I grew up with these boats We had three in our family. The first was a Sport 16 with a 90 hp. One of the first open bow boats produced and it featured the new revolutionary Gull Wing hull that took the wave and directed it down and away, the start of the tri hull era. With the split windshield, it could be considered kind of like a deckboat. Had a lot of fun with this boat. Learned to ski behind her. I remember the first summer with this boat, it always drew a curious crowd. Then as a family, we went to see "Thunderball" and lo and behold, there's James Bond with OUR BOAT!!! Didn't know what product placement was back then. I like the way the motor is angled to advertise "Evinrude".
