older 70 hp water tube

when lower unit pulled to replace water pump water tube came out how do I re-install in power head?

how old of a 70hp, a 6 cylinder from the 50s, or a 3 cylinder from the late 70s onward? What you think is old might seem quite recent to a lot on the Board
