Well we blew a hole in the block of the Liquid Limo this weekend so we're trying to do a fast swap and get repowered here and I have a couple probably really dumb questions.
The original motor is a 1966 110HP Mercruiser. The new motor is possibly (based upon your answers here) a 1981 120 HP mercruiser.
Here are the questions
Will I need to be concerned about unleaded gas in the 81? I fried the head on my 66 burning unleaded gas. Is the 81 new enough that I won't need to use lead additive.
I'm told the type 1 outdrive will work with the 81 since it's basically the same motor as the 110, just newer.
Can I use my remanufactured carb on the new motor?
How about the exhaust manafold and the distributor that we recently converted to electronic?
I really need some help here guys. Our two week family vacation at the lake begins July 18 and I need to grab this 120 if it will work.
