Old Johnson Motor

Hi All I need Help Finding out some information on this motor for a friend it is a johnson motor made in Waukegan IL usa Model # LT10
This is a old motor and we know that we need all infor we can get on this

I can tell you that the model number LT-10 is for a 1940 5HP Johnson.

This LTs evolved into the TD and TN series motors. Nice motors, and when set up right you can literally start them by hand without a rope. I had one that would start with a quick flick of the wrist on the flywheel...

That's good to know. I picked up a pair of Lt-38's last year. I plan to work on them this winter. Do they share the same carb as the TN/TD?
