Hi all. I have a dilemma...
I have my fathers old boat. He bought it new in 1960. It's an Alumacraft R-6, 12' with deck, windshield and forward steering wheel and controls (quite unique). It has the original 1962 Johnson 18. The trailer is a Sportsman. I had the trailer blasted and powder-coated a few years ago. The boat has always been stored and is in as good of shape as 60 years can bring. I have searched for a museum, but have had minimal success. I have zero idea of the value, and really just want to find a good home for it. I'm in my mid 60's and probably will not use it again. The rig runs perfect. Aside from the trailer restoration, the boat and motor are factory original. The wood transom has been refinished, but the wood is factory.
I'd appreciate any input on what I should be asking for it.
EDIT: Any help would be appreciated.
Regards.
