What oil do I use for a 50 hp Johnson that has the oil pump disconnected. The oil will be mixed one pint to six gallons. Do I buy 2 cycle or 4 cycle oil?

TC-W3 two stroke outboard oil is probably what you need to use. Buy it almost anywhere that sells oils.

2 stroke outboard engine oil IS what you need.

All since 1964 use 50:1, 2%, 1 pint in 6 gallons or 100cc in 5 litres depending on your preferred units and arithmetic.

To avoid confusion since you are new to this- if you want to use the OEM oil from BRP/ Johnson/ Evinrude, you can use their XD-30 or even XD-25 (often available at Walmarts in certain parts of the country).
