Oil Tank Sensor

I have a 05 90Hp 2 stroke the sensor in the oil tank is stuck on is there a way to clean it ? Is there a way to check the probe when its removed from the bottom Or do I have to replace the tank and probe.Also there is some mixed gas in the intake box what should i do.

Remove and drain the tank and check the inside to see if float has came loose from bracket, if so replace tank($75) as this is 90% of all problems.You can test probe with ohm meter by using a magnet to see if probe is open or closed at full mark..
