Hi, no it shouldn’t be a common problem… Is the engine Carbureted or MPI?
Also make sure to take the time to locate what alarm system is sounding off… Is it part of the engine warning horn or another device such as a water depth finder being to shallow type alarm as that was a common mix up with this boat manufacturer new to them owner ship.
