Oil leak

I just notice a oil leak where it looks like a vent hole but water come out when I crank my motor with a water muff. In the picture you will see that hole . My question does anyone know if there is a seal in this area , oil will come out after I turn the motor off , the oil is black . Does this sound like a easy fix. This is a 90 hp murcury outboard. I'm a new boat owner I hope I explained it right. Any suggestions . Thanks craig

Smell the oil. If it smells like gas or oil, it is likely residual fuel. If it stinks like eggs, it is gear oil and you likely have a leak.
