Just watched the beginning of the season premier again. Anybody notice the "apartment" where the guy is living in the hatch appears to be well lit by sunlight coming through windows? Underground??

Even when he shuts down the power some light comes in through what look like mini-blinds... Edit: I guess I spoke too soon.

so the guy, forgot what his name is must have been down there for a long time based on all those marking on the wall. He must have gotten stuck there from his sailing trip around the world. I don't think he is the first occupant either but whoever the first was left a hell of a stocked pantry. "HIM" must have something to do with the broadcasted code. The numbers that flipped after the code is executed make no sense to me. I'm fully mystified now!

"108" is the sum of the "numbers". Not sure the significance of 108, though. News reported here yesterday, that a local publisher was contacted by "Lost", to say that they are using plot points from a book they published, called "The Third Policeman". Anyone ever read it? If so, you apparently will know what is happening. I am peeved about the episode in regards to Jack, Locke, and Kate. I don't care to see stuff I already saw, thanks! That's a case of, they originally had enough for a 2 hour premiere, but ABC obviously said, "no". So they used it in the next episode & saved serious cash. And what's with all the backstory on Michael. We already knew that Brian adopted him. This show needs to get moving again! Definately a "filler" show. Hopefully next week's will have more action & plot!

"filler" show. I have to agree.... backstory on Michael was a waste of time, didn't learn anything new... there was a shark or something in the water, but did it make the scene any better? nope!... was there much going on inside the hatch, not really... This is the SLOWEST developing show I have ever seen. Cripes!!!

Did anyone see the logo on the shark?

I agree w/most. Super slow. Some parts I've seen several times and was billed as new/premier. There's some other good new shows now that keep you leaning forward. I may opt for them and tune in Lost in a couple of months. I'm sure not much will have happened.

I hope it was just a FILLER Show Even though Clever I'd hate to see it go that way. Between the " previously on Lost, the adds, and the Flash backs " they took a whole hour to show maybe 5 minutes of new stuff and ended exactly where they did the week before. Jacks been holding that gun up for two weeks.. me thinks his arms should be hurting by now

I saw the logo in real time, went back & slow mo'd it on my old school 4 head VCR. I couldn't make it out really. It was different than Desmond's logo on his shirt, right?

OK folks - sorry bout the late post on this one... I just managed to watch it last night (thank you, TiVO) and I wasn't clicking on this thread on purpose (following my own directions on the subject line

) So, you guys are all right - filler show. But, in a way it wasn't. I think while even though it SEEMED like they were going over stuff they already did, we got to see two different point of views of what, IMO, is a major point in the development of the show. I mean, after all they have been working up what was in that hatch all of last season - so I think they are trying to use it as much as they could. Did anyone notice that when Locke took off his shoes, his socks were clean and white? Also, did anyone notice that the stuff bear that Mike gave to Walt was a white polar bear? Sean

Wow,it's been over 16 hours since last night's episode ended, and noone posted?! Are you all still trying to figure out what's going on! Episodes like that are what make the show fun, intriguing, clever, and maddening all at the same time. I learned more, but I have a whole host of new questions, all over again! How many of you would have let the timer countdown end without pressing the button??

I woulda pushed the button...they should at least spend some time exploring the place first before they chance blowing it up. Now they've got 108 minutes to do that. I'm starting to wish Jack would get blown up... I don't like seeing Katie Segall on the cast...part of what made the show good is that all the actors were mostly unknown. It's easier to believe they're real people somewhere going through this if you don't recognize them.

I enjoyed last night's show. My favorite part was when Jack asked Desmond, "Did you ever stop to think about whether any of this is real? and he replied... EVERY SINGLE DAYYY!!!! -- awesome line! My bet on the white socks -- it was an oversight by the script supervisor who makes sure things like that don't happen, unless it's on purpose. BUT, with LOST, ya never know!

Most likely, I would've pushed the button too, same reason ZMoz says. Why chance it until you have a better understanding of what's going on. Heck, give it a few months of pushing that button every 108 minutes, and I might very well just say, screw this and see what happens... I'm curious, who's everyone's favorite character? Who's your least favorite? Locke is my favorite. The man's adventurous, philosophical, smart, although he started to break down in that last episode??? hmmm.... My least favorite is Mike - my only admiration for him is that he loves his son (that doesn't make him a good father though!) Other than that, he's just a nuisance!

This week much better and it was over way too fast. Gots to agree, push the button and find out what its hooked up to. (Mrs.Link & I think they were being used as Lab Rats) LOL Could have done without Mrs Bundy for the same reasons. Didn't notice the white socks or the teddy polar bear.
