Just wanted to say for those of you who may not have made it over to my restoration, I finally got a thread going on it waiting for it to warm up.

A few of you have made it over, but there may be a few who haven't yet.

Come on over and take a look at it.

Yours,

Mud

P.S. Waiting on life right now to settle back down as it has finally warmed up some here in Missouri. See You All There!

Hey guys and gals, I'm new to the thread. As a current and soon to be former engineman in the navy I grew a lot of interest in boating from maintaining our 17 meter ribs. So I just purchased a 1977 Sportcraft C-Gull with I believe it's original mercury 1500. I don't know much about it or the motor other than it doesn't run. I know the wiring harness is trashed so that's the first thing on my list. The motor looks great besides that and the boat is is good shape. For $120 I couldn't pass this thing up. I would love to post some pics if I ever figure out how.

Photos are easy. You can do attachments, but even better, start a photobucket account, load the pictures there and when on a photo you want to attach, click on the img link on the right sidebar of that photo and it will say "copied". It copies the link to that photo in your bucket to your keyboard buffer and then all you do is paste it in your reply or post.

Try and keep your photo under 800 or 900 pixels high to improve viewing. To me this is the way to go over attachments; it takes to long to load and we get impatient.

Welcome aboard, there are two other c-gulls being restored on the forum right now. Mine is in a holding pattern until warmer weather.

Re: Official Business of the 3V Club ( aka tri hull club )

Hello,

I am new to this site and this thread. I have a 1976 Chrysler Courier 231 "HydroVee" Bowrider with Volvo Penta AQ170. I am looking to fix a problem with the engine running for about 5 minutes then shutting off and the battery completely fried. Any suggestions? If I'm posting this is the wrong thread, please let me know.

Also, does anyone have any insight into any site for parts for old Chryslers?

Thank you!

Hey Mike

Welcome to the madness. You can start a post in the Chrysler section. You will get the proper help there. If you have a picture of your tri hull, I would love to see it here.

Yes by all means, pictures. We like seeing what everyone is boating in or about to go boating around in!

Hello everyone, for some reason when I try and upload the photo to this post, it says error. I have made my boat my profile pick for now until I can post more photos.

Could be a low post count restriction. You could try opening a photo bucket account and then posting them up that way.

That is a nice Tri Hull you have there :D

Welcome No! '64 Thunderbird sounds SWEET! Especially if it was Gramps and has been in the family that long.

Pictures can be loaded by simply going advanced and attaching photos, but I have a Photo Bucket account. Go start a bucket and upload pictures there. Once you have pictures loaded, go to the photo(s) you want to load and in the RH side bar is a box that hold link information to that photo. Click on the bottom one, IMG, and it will say "Copied". Come back to this page and Right Click in the Reply to Post window and it will insert the link info to your bucket.

You can only insert either 6 photos, or 6 Emoticons, or a combination of 6 total.

I (and others) prefer this over the attachment as it is in the post and doesn't have to open a viewing window to browse the photos.

NP No!

When you get around to restoring it, make sure you go to the Boat Restoration, Building, and Hull Repair Forum and post your restoration. We all will be watching and helping when you need it.

You are on the Best Forum for that anywhere bar none!

Hi I recently acquired a 1972 Larson that I have to restore a bit but I hope to have it on the lake this year. I grew up on a Mark Twain Tri-Hull and have always loved these boats.

Hi mb! Not real sure exactly what a Fury looks like. Make sure a post a before picture here to spark our interest in your restoration; awe heck, we're already sparked. Good luck with your restoration!
