I acquired this boat recently. I was told that it's a 1996 10 hp Evinrude motor. It has l77jc4 plugs. Are they correct? I can't find any information about a model SE10RPL0. I believe that it was made for the South American market. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Never seen that motor nor can I pull anything up.

The year conversion thing makes no sense either.

I say it is a 1992 model -----Commercial model.----Most know that in 1993 there was a total redesign of the 9.9 / 15 HP models.-----Cowlings were different.----Recoil was mounted on top of flywheel.------The RPLO is clearly listed as a 1992 model !!

Thanks Roscoe, I was thinking maybe 1992 also but any listing that i can find for the SE prefix is 1996 1997 1998 and not ending with 0. Is this because it's a commercial model and do you know where i can get information about commercial models? I believe that most of the places that I look only list recreational models.

???--IT IS A 1992 MODEL !!------Use the 1992 parts book.-----There is no difference between a commercial model and a recreational model.---Well , maybe paint and decals that you can clearly see !

Hint----The commercial models do not use the word----INTRODUCES----for determining year marketed !

Thanks again. That clarifies things. I'm guessing it's same as the 9.9 recreational motor.

It is as indicated above a 1992 10hp commercial model

The recommended plugs are QL77JC4 gapped at 0.030"
10 Commercial 1992 - 1993 QL77JC4 .030
L77JC4 are the non-suppressed version

Funny, this is the commercial model year list on iboats yet doesn't list your motor. They must have a bigger list.

Thanks Everyone. I did find a 10RPLO on one web site as a 1992 commercial model. I'm told that the SE is for the South American market. At least I know how to order parts for it now. It runs very well. I've had it out on a local lake 8 times so far without any problems.

To be very honest, I was surprised that it was so hard to find. I thought it would be simple to find on Evinrude's web site.
