what does everyone think about this. I was wanting to add the lights to my boat but was unsure about drilling the holes in the transom. This would solve the drilling problem plus it would put the light under the outdrive for optimal lighting of the wake. Does anyone have this yet? My only concern is how durable it would be for use while driving. The description says it is designed for this use.

interesting, but does the "drainage without removal" mean it's one of the ball **** rigs? They scare me.

looks flimsy to me.... also lots of coin for the amount of light..... "= to a 75 watt halogen"

Wow, that's a great idea in theory...I also think it looks to be a little flimsy. Being a person who builds my own LED components, I can say the Ocean LED products are WAY over priced. There is nothing really special about them other than they are waterproof (which is not hard to do). This rig looks like it has three 1 Watt LED's in there.

says .5 amps.... at 12 volts that would be 6 watts or 3 2 watt led's.... where do you get your led's

4 of what? what are they? how do they look in nasty muddy river water?..... sadly that is a serious question since that's all I have within an hour and the lakes an hour or two away aren't much better

I have built submersion proof led modules. I built a pair of backup lights for my trailer that are submersion proof. I've never built any to mount on the transom though...didn't like the idea of drilling holes in my transom for accent lights.

They do have the ones that mount on your trim tabs. Still have to drill some holes but those can be above the water line or use the some holes for the trim tab controls.
