Can you replace the big nut on a steering cable? My tilt tube snapped off inside the nut and I can't get out. Can I cut off and replace the nut or should I buy a new cable?
I don't think so. The nut is captive on the cable. In other words, the nut is slid on before the cable is crimped to the housing. You need a new cable.
