15 foot 1971 Glastron V153, Chrysler 140. Think she'll do 60?

I see you got the boat out in the sun. The motor looks good. Mine still running very good since you worked on it. Cory

Might do 60 or damn near. That's a hefty engine for that small boat lol.

That is sweet looking Frank! Were you one of those kids back in the day that found a way to shoehorn a Chevy Rat Motor into a Vega? Hmmm...

Seriously, that rig looks like she should literally fly!

Decal! These covers get quite a bit of abuse and a decal made sense for possible replacement. Besides, they were only 75 bucks.

Taken off a painting called "Last Baltic Mermaid Catching Bird Flu." Original painting is fine art and is hanging in a museum. Letters and medallion are from Junkyard and glued with 3M 5300

Did anyone notice that in the last photo the cover latch handle is missing? It is painted to match the stripe (Dupli-Color Orange Mist--Nissan color), was still drying, and I could not install it. Did anyone notice that the lower unit is not painted? I did the midleg and shroud quick and dirty specifically for these photos. Lower gets painted later.

Husky: The 350 went into the Vega with basically just a set of headers and a small sheet metal mod inside the engine compartment. But with a 12 gallon tank, it needed filling going around the block! LOL

That boat is rated for a 90. I always felt that HP ratings were "suggestions"

looks good Frank, the glasstrons and carlson's are some of my favorites.
been thinking of selling my 140 plus parts, can only get 39.7 mph out of the tunnel, haven't ported the other motor yet, may do that before deciding, been playing with the idea of a supercharged 3800 i/o

Jerry its been a great summer up here other than all the rain, low 80's for the most part, but the boat will probally come out at the end of the month because it is a pretty wet ride.
one of the reasons im looking at an I/O to get the front up , my trim has limited effect even with the 18" setback. i dont have enough power to pack air under the hull. the motor has ran flawless though
