If you truly think that our carbon footprint is the problem then turn off your power and start walking and rowing your boats .
Every year I go through the panic or wondering if I did the winterization right. Every spring the boat is fine but I am really worried with the latest cold snap we had. I hope the fresh water system, head, block, outdrive are all OK. No way of really telling until the spring.
We need to stay away from the GW/CC discussions. It's a very emotional topic where most people stand firm in their beliefs. All that will happen is both sides will try to convince the other that they're right...... Nothing good ever comes from those discussions..... Thanks...
and all it will take is another volcanic eruption the size of the event of ~550 AD to plunge us into another "mini" ice age in a matter of years killing millions for the second or third time in recorded history. That's a ridiculous sentiment, and doesn't hold up to scientific scrutiny. If anyone would take the time to look at some facts they'd realize that we're affecting the climate in a way that's never happened before. CO2 has increased significantly in the last 100 years, which exactly coincides with our increasing use of fossil fuels. Average global temperatures have also increased in the last 50 to 100 years. Yes, average global temperatures have fluctuated both up and down before, but that has taken thousands of years and not merely a few decades. As a result of the increase in average global temperatures the sea level is rising, that's a verifiable fact. And again, it's rising at a rate that isn't possible by any natural mechanism.
erogance to even suggest that
Y'know it really is ridiculous to think humans have much effect on this planet. Since we only occupy a small fraction of it. If'n we become too much of a problem Earth will just shrug it's shoulders and rid itself of us?
I could use a lil global warming right now. It's down to 44. And that's downright chilly for this floda boy ...
So, where is it we disagree?wow! we are 7 billion parasites on this planet using resources, and changing the world at an alarming rate. (we are the only species that would benefit the planet by being gone.:facepalm
So, where is it we disagree?
Back to the OT ... we had a high of 78 today. Currently 69. So's no fear of freezin anytime soon. Raining at the moment & the humidity is 96%. Indoors it's 80 w/67% humidity.
That said I have seen snow in Jacksonville. Gets alot colder on the east coast.
