I have a RadioShack weather radio. My location is 52 miles from one tower & 60 from the other. My reception is very poor. Any suggestions on how to boost my reception? Would an external antenna on top of the house help? Is there an in-line power signal booster out there I could hook up? The item is almost useless to me for weather alerts. T'anx for any replies or directions.

Yes, an outdooor scanner antenna will greatly increase your reception. Something else that will give you about 6Db boost is a Preamp,. Both of these should be available at Radio Shack or an amateur Radio store like AES (amateur Radio Supply) Store.
