I have a 94 Mariner Magnum 40HP, serial 0G138021 with water flo issue
I replaced impeller with a complete kit, but still no flow out of motor.

At a loss of whats next to try... Any help is appreciated

How are you testing your water pump?

Only by putting motor back together.
How else would you test it?

You can't test a water pump without water. And not on muffs. Use a large and deep barrel or back the boat down a ramp until the lower unit is deep under water.

I used muffs with the garden hose ..
Has always worked before when I run before each season
Not the correct way to test a new pump?
I did notice some water coming out of the exhaust by propeller

How old is the motor, was run in fresh or salt water ? Remove the thermo and check the internal housing condition, is it clean, rusted, salty ?

I've had times where my motor wouldn't pump on muffs but would if submerged.

Before you panic, get yourself a piece of string trimmer string. Push it up in your pee hole and be sure mud dawbers haven't clogged your pee hole. Happens all the time.
