So on a recent trip with my Nissan 2005 9.8 I started it to warm it up and while I was doing other things, it died thought nothing of it, but went to start it and would not start. I went through everything I could think of And it seem like it was a no spark anyway ended up sleeping at the dock the next morning I thought I would try it again started right up and ran for the next 24 hours with no issues. Is there an oil pressure switch or something that would have made it Lock out from starting. Thanks.

Sometimes when electronic parts start to fail, they'll work when they're cold but fail when they get hot. Especially coils. Next time it quits, use freezy spray or compressed air to cool off the ignition parts and coils and see if it comes back to life. You can also do the reverse; get it running then use a hair dryer or heat gun (carefully!) to warm the ignition parts and see if it quits. If that does it, then figure out which part is the bad one. If it has an electronic ignition with a crank position sensor (pickup coil), be sure to hit that one too.

The 9.8A2 and A3 (you didn't say which model -- year is irrelevant) have an exciter, a pulser, and a CD. Any one could be failing hot. The exciter and pulser can be tested with an ohm meter.
