I have a 87-75 hp. when engine has been running for a while it will stall and not start I checked for spark and had none at all 4 cly. but when the engine cools back down it will start again.
Try to disconnect the black/yellow wire from the switchbox when it quits and see if it has fire then if not it's probably the stator heres the test info from CDI
