No power to trim switch on throttle

We have a 1999 Four Winns Sundowner 205. Great family boat. Yesterday, my wife is backing it off the trailer and its working fine. It was a little shallow so she only put the engine down enough to back in. But then when we tried to lower the engine more there was no reaction. No electrical sound for up or down. No movement by the engine. The boat is serviced regularly. There is plenty of fluid in the reservoir.

Any ideas? Any easy fix that we're missing??

Appreciate any help!

Sorry, what are the trim limit switches? I checked the 3 fuses in the manual and they all looked good. And I've never used a trailer button either -- few more words on both topics would be greatly appreciated.

thanks - Ed

The trim limit switch only limits the up trim, has on effect on down or trailer. What drive?
