I have a 2011 Regal that came with a Fusion MS-IP600. It didn't work, when I tested it the other day. I found an inline fuse and replaced that, then I started to get sound, though I have no display on the LCD. The screen's backlight comes on, though I see no output on the screen. The Boat also has a MS-WR600 remote in transom. I am able to get that screen to display, though it looks like the boat is set to use multiple channels and we only get sound in the transom area. I tried pressing the reset button, but it seems like Fusion radios are pretty looking radios that have no place in a marine environment. My crappy old car looking radio in my older boat still works and it has a decade on the Fusion. I got the boat from my old man, who said they never used the radio.

I am not sure about the compatibility for other stereos and the MS-WR600 remote. Also with the issues that other people seem to have with the screens on the Fusion make it seem foolish to get another one to replace it. I might open it up to see if I see anything, but don't have any hope.

The boat has 8 speakers, the radio, and the remote. I wouldn't mind something with bluetooth, so we can stream music from our phones. I would also like to be able replace or reuse the transom remote if I can. We don't blast music for the whole lake to hear, though do like to hear some music, when we are hanging out. The system doesn't have an amp or a sub, though we don't want to add one.

LCD displays and below freezing temp don’t play well together.

Was the radio removed in the winter or left in place?

Being left in the cold combined with “never used the radio” is a death sentence for a LCD display

Remotes are useless antiques with Bluetooth controls

The boat has 8 speakers, the radio, and the remote.
The unit is rated 70W x 4 max.
26 watts @ 4 ohm.
43 watts @ 2 ohm.

What speakers?
How many ohms ea.
How are they wired?
The blown fuse is a hint

I don't see how it can easiliy be removed, it isn't the stereo systems where you can remove the bezel, like I could with my old stereo. Looking under the dash, everything is placed really close together. It was never taken out, though it was in Texas, until now.

I have no idea about the wattage rating of each speaker, all I know is that I have 8 of them (2x bow, 2xcockpit, and 2x transom. Would I just put the MultiMeter in ohms and test the resitance?

It looks like there are three zones. I still have the LCD/Display on the transom remote and when Increase the volume, it looks like it increase the volume mostly of the transom speakers and only increases the volume of the cockpit volume by a little.

Do people just use their phones as "remotes" now? I think we are mainly interested in power/volume. I see some bluetooth adapters that plug into the RCA connector. I see one by Fusion that shows it as compatible as well as a few other brands that make something similar. I intially bought an iphone 30pin to bluetooth adapter and was hoping that would work, though it cuts out after a few seconds of playing. The FM works fine, so I am hoping a seperate bluetooth adapter would work as it is only feeding an audio single. I might just try that to see how this goes, though will need to figure out how to adjust the zones.

This one?

If so, looks like a button on top allows the face to fold down exposing mounting screws. Might give that a whirl.

**Seems to show same here...

I'd just replace the whole thing. I like RF units...as in Rockford Fosgate...

And yes, these days there's almost always an app you load on your phone to control the head unit.

LCD displays can be flaky.
Did you try a hard reset of the unit?
Seems to return the display to operation for a number of people.

Not sure if that would work given the wiring, bad connections etc. Best get a model number off the speakers and look them up

According to your manual, you have 3 ‘Zones’ that the volume can be independently adjusted.

4 speaker outputs per zone. FL,FR,RL,RR

Zone 1 and 2 are powered and can be linked to make 1 Zone,
Zone 3 is the output to the amp. No amp, no zone 3

Most Bluetooth units have some sort of "Remote" App for your phone.
I use Spotfiy to stream to my unit. Controls everything but the on/off switch

If your using the RCA plug, there are no compatibility issues. I have Bluetooth adapters plugged into the RCA on both my car and boat. No problem with either
