NMEA 2000 with ECHOMAP UHD 94SV

Hey all, I’ve been reading trying to get info about adding the engine gauges to the unit from a 2000, 200 merc. I’m redoing the panel and wondering if I can eliminate the gauges as they are fogged over. I know the merc doesn’t have the NMEA 2000 but I see some analog converters. Trying to see what the gauges look like on the 94SV unit but not having much luck. Any help and info would be highly appreciated, thanks!

this would be the simplest solution for you if your engine is smartcraft enabled. I just hooked it to my 350 mag and Echomap UHD 75sv and it works awesome. You do need a dealer to program it.
oh, and its not cheap programmed will run close to 1000$. im not sure if you could eliminate all of your guages because i cant seem to get the leg trim or trim tabs to work on the screen. But i will probably make another thread for that. Forsure speedo and tach can go.

I don’t believe the engine has the smart craft. It s a year 2000 carbed 2 stroke. I could be wrong.

Lowrance makes aftermarket NMEA 2000 $ensors that you can add into your engine and such(temp, pressure, fuel use, speed, etc)......Your Garmin ECHO will most likely have/find/cal and display(gauges) the most common ones in its NMEA setup. I use their NMEA pressure sensor currently on my ECHO, but to cheap to buy any others, I have still to bootleg the sentence structures and make my own..............If only I had more time.

As long as the NMEA sentences for each sensor type are of the standard "proprietary" output structure, our Garmin's should pick them up, yes. If you get this and it works let us know plz? Someone (chinese) busted open the money sham of NMEA.........Hehehe, I hope so. I knew there was a one or two converters out there few years back, BUT never this cheap!!!

Something to think about........
I have an 94SV as well. Only use it to display sonar data. Run navigation on a separate unit to maximize presentation size on both units.

I kept my analog gauges because its a PIA to toggle back and forth between screens to monitor gauge status.

I guess you could run "gauges" in split screen but would defeat the purpose of running separate displays to begin with
