So he decides which games he'll play or sit. He should get part of Tomlin's, Fichtner's, Daniel's, Saxon's and Drake's paychecks too because he's doing part of the Head Coach, Off. Coordinator, Wide Receivers, Running Back, and the Receiver coaches jobs. It's only fair!

'speck - You need a better agent. The rest of us Mods get the big paycheck with lots of zeroes. :lie: LOL

Don't quote me on the numbers but close. Brady took a pay cut on his last contract, 10 M or so a year salary. Cousins who has never played a meaningful game in his NFL life let alone a not only a 1 time Super Bowl winning MVP, not 2 time, not 3, you get my point. I have heard different guesses from the talking heads on TV and NFL Radio that Cousins is looking for 20 plus Mil a season over 5 years and he has never won anything. I don't like him, not personally I don't know the kid. I don't like his fake, phoney rah rah shtick on the sidelines or in the huddle. You would think guys rally behind that but they don't. It's too over the top. These are men not HS Jr's listening to Sr. QB 1. The 1st time I heard him Miked up I said you have to be kidding me. They move the ball a yard and a half for a 1st down and he's grabbing interior lineman's face masks telling them how great they are. One actually pushes him away. There are many things that go on between whistles that we fans don't get to see or hear. I have the feeling he is a joke in the locker room, much like some players on the Giants felt Eli was. Tiki Barber said it on national TV and lost his job over it.

Like I said earlier RB's do not have the value they had 10 years ago. I'm sure Bell thinks he's worth every penny he is asking, or should I say demanding but he is not. It's all numbers from statistical PHD's and they say he isn't worth what he wants. He can play in Seattle or Cleveland or for whomever wants him if he so chooses for the same money as in Pitt, or as his management team has managed to get him to play for less than offered. I would want a rebate from that group of geniuses.

Speck I would be careful with the your pay demands ... Admin might put the Franchise tag on you ... But that would be good for us . The H/T or S&F might pick you up .. Prolly wouldn't have to work as hard there though ... ;)

I found your zeroes, aspeck.

Richard Sherman is now a 49'er. 3 year deal for $39.15M.

Cleveland Browns pick up Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landry, and Damarious Randall all on one day. I think they want to win a few games in 2018!

Brown's must have given up their 1st round draft pick. Taylor isn't a top QB by any means, but the Browns need any help they can get. They can only go up the ladder....

Rumor has it the Cardinals will be releasing AP, who is owed $750,000 on the third day of the new league year, which would be Friday. Maybe he should sign a 1 day deal with the Vikes and retire........

WIMUSKY, I wouldn't do what you guys do for a Mil a year. If I were you or the other Mods I would hold out for a long term, no cut clause contract plus incentives.

Taylor to the Browns can only help them, Ryan Leaf could have helped last season for goodness sakes. I'm happy for Taylor, a class act. I wish him the best in the future. Wouldn't it be something else if he beats the Bills in the 1st round of the Wild Card?

I just heard Nate Burleson compare Dion Sanders to Muhammad Ali, pure blasphemy. There are 3rd World citizens living in small huts that have no idea who Dion Sanders is but recognize Ali, and maybe Coronel Sanders, but not Dion.

WIMUSKY, can you explain in layman's terms "The Transition Tag."

Ha, I had to look it up myself......

A transition tag is a tool used by National Football League teams to retain unrestricted free agents. It guarantees the original club the right of first refusal to match any offer the player may make with another team.

Basically, a player can go out and test the waters. If one team offers x amount of dollars, his current team can match it.. It's a one year deal and I guess is rarely done because it can financially strap the original team.....

Looks like Miami is going to dump Suh. Wonder who he will step on as he walks out the building?????

Thanks. I have never had any respect for Suh, none. I did something like he did once in HS practice and have been kicking myself and been ashamed of it for the last 46 years. You didn't hear much from him on or off the field since he left Detroit.

Case Keenum signs with the Broncos tomorrow morning.

That leaves Bradford and Bridgewater as free agent QB's at the Vikes. Not making much sense to leave all 3 QB's, now 2, as free agents. But Cousins is rumored to sign with the Vikes.

Yup, Cousins is all but a signature away from being a Viking.

Jordy Nelson left GB and is now in Detroit...

More NFL personnel activity today then the rest of the season put together. Some big moves by all teams. I guess Cousins deal is the headliner and creates a domino effect for the other teams. I find it tough to keep track of my own tean let alone 31 others.

Notable Bills moves.

Signed Chris Ivory and Vontae Davis to 1 year deals.

Traded QB 1.5 Tyrod Taylor to Cleveland for the 60 something pick in the draft and clear 11 mil cap space. Good for Buffalo and Taylor, he is one classy kid.

Cordy Glen traded for pick #6 1st round. They are QB hunting.

Kyle Williams pondered retirement but signed a 1 year deal today. 5 time Pro Bowler finally got to taste a playoff game in his 16th season. He scored on a 1 yard plunge in the final game vs. Miami, a must win. His smile was as wide as the Niagara Gorge. He is not a household name in other NFL cities, the opposing linemen know who he is.

For the uninitiaqted some of these salaries seem obscene. Compared to MLB they are peanuts. Some middle reliever I never heard of signs for 4 years and 130 million. I made that up but it isn't unusual. Take a look at what International Footballers make. Actually don't, some are close to the gross national product of the countries they came from.

Did the Vikings and the Browns trade team management during the off season? The Vikes are acting like the Browns of the past few years.
