3 Races remain to determine the Chase. There is only 1 spot that is a "non-winner." This could be interesting going down the stretch. Someone who thought for sure they were in could be sitting on the outside at the end.
This week we are going to Richmond for the Federated Parts 400. The .75-mile oval located in Henrico County, Virginia has an asphalt racing surface with 14 degrees of banking in turns 1-4. With 8 degrees on the frontstretch and 2 degrees on the backstretch, this track is similar to an intermediate track but races like a short track.
Practice is Saturday at 5:05 and Qualifying is at 5:50. The race is Sunday with a 3PM start on USA network. Make sure you get your picks in.
Kurt Busch is out for another week, still suffering from the head injury he sustained in a practice wreck at Pocono Motor Speedway.
Ryan Blaney is 19 points above the cut line and Martin Truex, Jr is 19 points below the cut line, but is 4th overall in Cup points. Blaney and Truex have run better than most this year, but have just not been able to finish in the lead.
Erik Jones is 190 points below the cut line and has failed to finish in the top 10 in his last 8 starts on a 3/4 mile oval.
Boogity, Boogity, Boogity, let's go racin', boys!
