Newbie with questions - 1982 Mercury 25HP

Hi all,

newbie here to the forums..

i have a few questions..

1. what fuel mix ration would my motor need? I think 50:1, but want someone to confirm.

2. where can I find a manual? been searching high and low?

3. want to get a stainless propeller. how do I know what to look for?

50:1 oil mix, someone on here may be able to help you with the manual. Look under mercury outboards in the seach part of the forum. Buy Aluminum, i'm sure people have mixed feelings, but lower units for that motor are hard to find and expensive to rebuild, and if you hit something at 6,000 RPM's with a SS prop you might as well start calling arround for a new lower unit. I run Aluminum on all mine and they perform just as good as SS. A good prop is the BlackMax series from Quicksilver. I run a 13P on mine. Great holeshot and great top end.

You could email this seller and find out the serial number range that it covers.It appears to be the one you need,at a decent price.
