Newbie quesiton: can this boat be customized?!

Hi there - first post on this forum.

This year, we decided as a family it's time to get a decent fishing boat. After a lot of searching we have narrowed it down to this one: http://denver.craigslist.org/boa/2903325886.html

It's nearly perfect in every regard, except one: it doesn't have the windshield. So the question to this experienced group is this: is it possible to add on a walk-through windshield to such a boat to get protection from the wind/spray? Question 2: can it be done for a reasonable amount of money...

The boat that is perfect in every regard is this one: http://rockies.craigslist.org/boa/2850762188.html - except it's $8,000 so we're trying to see if we can make the first one work.

Answer 1: Anything is possible... But,

Answer 2: Is it worth it? Probably not. I think you would end up pretty close if not over the $8000 price point of the second boat you listed to have it done professionally so it didn't look cobbled together.

If you want a boat with a walk through windshield, buy a boat with a walk through windshield.

No, I didn't... so I guess I wont be buying that one. Here is one I like at a good price, but it's 8.5hrs away from me: http://omaha.craigslist.org/boa/2905467402.html

... but I'm thinking seriously about it. Nothing close to that price around here in Denver.
