I am looking at a 2005 G3 15.5 FS. The guy selling to boat told me that the last time he went out he noticed the trim indicator gauge was not working. I was wondering how serious of an issue this is and also if any one knows roughly what something like that would cost to be repaired.

Thank you
Chris

Re: Newbie needs help. Trim indicator gauge

Repair it yourself. The gauge needs +12 volts when the key is in the RUN position. It also needs a good ground. The "S" (send) terminal on the gauge runs to the trim sender on the engine. Rarely is the gauge the problem. Loose or corroded connections or a bad sender are the main issues.
