New Wheels and Tires for the Trailer

Cyber Monday was good to me...

Bought 5 wheels and tires from Discount Tires (mounted and balanced, out the door $1,331.00) Discount offered a $200 rebate on that Monday. Went with 16" in lieu of the 215/75-15

I've only towed it 1 mile from the tire shop to home...while I can say it seems to, it would be anecdotal at best! It was merely to make the boat trailer look better...vanity is a b**ch!

Are they 16" trailer tires? Look kinda low profile for a trailer.

I went from steel painted to aluminum wheels. 15"-->16" I had the 215/75-15 tires. New size has 1" larger diameter (1/2" taller), but I lost 1/2" for the wheel...all in all, larger tire/wheel, same sidewall height!

Looks good, you must be in fresh water.

I think about going up 1" from 14" to 15" just to get a higher load cap.

Don't forget that you can sell your old ones on Craigslist and make a couple hundred back there too. Looks good!

Yessir, if I didn't still have my Chris Craft that just happens to need new tires, albeit only 3...I'll sell the remaining wheel/tire combo and wheels on craigslist (it's what I did when I bought wheels/tires for my camper).
