New, used seats?

On an old 1961 14 ft. runabout restoration, my son and I need some seats. I was first thinking about weight and then what might be candidates for a re-upholstery job. This boat has no front seats. Old Ford Bronco or Jeep buckets? Something simple, comfortable and fairly inexpensive. Any suggestions?

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard Mike,.... I've never seen any sorta automotive seats successfully adapted to a boat....

The entire structure is just wrong...

When you can get this Find Wise Back to Back Boat Seats at Walmart.com. Save money. Live better. for $170 with plastic bases that'll never rot, it just isn't worth paying to have something reupholstered.
