Problem solved!! White wire going into back of 7 pin on truck loose and corroded. Thanks to all for pointing me in the right direction!!!

Another lesson for those who dread electrical problems on trailers.

1) always verify the connector on the tow vehicle is working properly.
2) If #1 is functional, then concentrate on the trailer.
3) And the issue is almost always "ground"

After I got my light problem fixed I tackled installing a trim guage. Works like a charm!!!!
