I purchased a 1988 Invader boat, I believe its 18ft, has 150hp Johnson OB.
It has been in someones back yard for a while uncovered so lots of leaves and some dry rot. The engine starts but the trim doesn't work. I am a complete newb , this is my first boat. A work buddy told me there is an inline fuse in the wiring but I cant follow the wiring from the trim motor( ? pump) all the the way to the throttle. I think something is missing. Where should I start. I have no paper work only the titles . I'm trying to find a wiring diagram on line but I keep hitting dead ends . Whats the first thing I should do ?

There never was a boat level wiring diagram

Get the factory service manual for the motor. That will have engine and control wiring

The biggest issue will be the structural rot

Looking on E-Bay for a service manual. One manual has 90deg CV another has 60deg LV . Any idea what that means ? The motor is 115HP according to the Label . Is it OK to attach the serial number plate to my reply ?

Service manual for the boat never existed

Use the model number of your motor when getting a service manual from outboardbooks.com

Yes, you can post your serial number
