New to iboats

Hello everybody I am new to iboats but I have found so much info that I had to register to say thank you for all the info. I am looking at getting a toon soon and found you guys are great with all the info I think I will need.

Welcome to iboats Phil, If it has anyhting to do with boat and someone on here doesn't know the answer I would be very suprised.

I am from NJ area. We have lake Hopatcong in the northern part of NJ. My wife has finally caved in and said yes to a pontoon boat, so i have started looking and came across this forum and found a lot of info in here.

Just let us know how you intend to use the boat, how many people you will be carrying, and the most important thing--how much $ you've got to spend. We can give you some good objective advice on pontoons/tritoons. We even know where on the internet to find the speed tests, etc. on all modern "party barges" for research purposes on hulls/engine combinations.

We are looking for a 20 to 22 footer maybe in the price range of $16000. It will mainly be me and my wife but as everybody knows, that as soon as your friends know you have a boat they will tend to show up at your door when your ready to go out. So I guess something that could hold 10 people. Don't need a big engine as we just like to putter around. What is a good used boat that anybody could recommend.

Welcome and good luck toon shopping and when you do find the right one, you should have many years of enjoyment with it. They're great boats to kick back and relax on.
