I'm looking for a company who makes a good 19-20 foot boat with an outboard. I've had my share of I/O's and want an outboard rig this time. I see a lot of older low and mean checkmate types, wafer thin bass boats, boxy looking multi species boats, but not a whole lot of sporty runabouts configured for outboards. I'd buy a low hour used or a new one, but was wondering if anyone could tell me some brands who have some models. Thanks.

Describe what a typical day on the water looks like for you. What kind of waters are you on?

Our current family boat is a Searay 190 SPX. The nicest and best boat we ever owned. We upgraded to the 150 Merc and couldn't be happier with the performance. The standard engine was a 115.

A 210 was mentioned earlier. The 2 boat hulls are almost identical. The 210 merely has 24" added to the center of the cockpit, along with 600# extra weight, 1 extra practical passenger, 1 extra axle on the trailer and of course extra towing weight. When looking at the whole package, for us the extra 10 grand wasn't cost effective. It comes with a 150 as well.

Either would come in at your new boat price point. The best part was that ours fits in our garage. Our last garage kept boat lasted 35 years (and is still going strong with no need to be "restored"), and that to me totally wipes out any silly talk about "depreciation".......
