Just got to keep them rotated. Grabbers are a harder compound and rely on the tread block to give traction, where a Duratrac and others are softer rubber as well as an agressive tread block, so they need rotated more often. Any 4x4 or AWD is going to be hard on tires and require rotations

I always thought ALL tires need to be rotated, regardless of vehicle or type tire.

Eons ago, when radials first became popular, they recommended that the direction of rotation should not be changed. In other words, front to back but never side to side. I kept that up for years, until a dealer said it was no longer necessary.

Then, when I got my first AWD, the dealer said for those they only rotate front to back.

So, what's the current thinking??

Personally Jim, I don't cross axles. So back to front only.

That's since I started driving in the early 90's. Dad never did it either, always complained loudly, very loudly, when someone would cross axles on his vehicles.

With all this talk of tires. i had to go out and look to see what was on my truck. They are Bridgestone Dueler. Not sure if thats considered a good tire or not. I've got no complaints so far but I'm not a tire person.

Cross fronts to the rear and bring the rears straight forward. That puts the tires on every position on the vehicle every 4 rotations.

Yes, they list all the possible ways to rotate tires, however you really don't want to do a front/ back only rotation unless the tires are directional
