Hi everyone, I just recently picked up a New leftover Tahoe Q4ss, in black elite Q graphics. We bought it from Polaris of Gainesville, which is also a Tracker and Tahoe dealer. They were very nice and threw in a hummingbird depth sounder. Needless to say its my first boat, Traded hobbies from motorcycles to boats. I got a heck of a deal on the boat, and if anyone is in the market they had 2 of them still in stock.

See you around the forum!

Re: New Tahoe Owner

Just bought a Q7sf today. I hope I got a good deal. Let me know if you have any issues. I bought my through a dealer as well. I was afraid to buy it through BPS.

Congrats on the purchase, hate to spoil your fun but you might want to check your power steering fluid cooler and see if its metal or plastic, if it's plastic, change it, mine failed (exact same boat as yours) last years after 2 weeks of use, brand spanking new too.

Mercury issued a total recall last year but some how some are still making it into production.
I went to a local tahoe dealer about a month ago to see the new 2011 models and they still had the plastic coolers on them.

As part of my research I had studied your posts on this forum quite well. From what I could see two out of three of the boats on the lot had the plastic ones. The one I bought had what I believe to be the metal one. The cooler on mine is shiny black and looks to be all one piece where the others were dull and, well, plastic looking. Do you have a picture of the metal one just so I can confirm?

If it's shiny, chances are it's metal, I'll snap a pic this weekend. Right now it's under the cover from all this stormy weather here in arkansas.

Re: New Tahoe Owner

We just got finished with a day out on the water in the new Q4. Had a total blast. Everything worked great on the boat, though I had to hold myself back a few times with the break-in procedure. Before we left I installed an hour meter on the engine, and we clocked about 4 hours of engine run-time.

The one item I did have a question about was regarding the bimini top. When we unfolded it for the first time there was an extra pole that looks like it secures the rear of the bimini to the port side. This pole was not connected to the bimini structure. My question is how does/should this pole connect to the bimini, is there a bolt or fastener that I need? If anyone has any pictures of this connection I'd be grateful!

Not sure about that. Mine has an equal number on both sides and when you raise the top one pole on each side latches rearward onto a fitting. The one strap on each side attaches to a small cleat forward of the windshield. We have different models so there may be a difference. Glad you had a great time. It's hard to beat a good day on the water.

Re: New Tahoe Owner

Beautiful boat Q4Stan.
I am currently looking at purchasing the exact same boat from a local dealer and I certaily LOVE the oynx, like yours. Since you have had yours for a few months now....any issues come up?

These boats are listed, and the dealer told me, the prices are as is. "No Haggle, No hassle" pricing. The only discount would be on the 2010 model ($1000.00). Are there other deals out there I am missing that you got?

Thanks in advance for the reply and "yes" this is my first post and I have been looking through the forums and have seen a lot of helpful info.
